As expected Microsoft will finally talk officially about the next version of Windows. We heard about Microsoft preparing a special press event on September 30, but today it’s official. The company started emailing today invites to people from the media to join the company at the San Francisco event at the end of September. According to reports, Joe Belfiore and Terry Myerson will be the ones in charge to talk about was in the pipeline for Windows. As I previously mentioned the Windows event will focus on enterprise and on Windows enthusiasts.

Microsoft is also expected to release a public version of “Windows Technical Preview” during the event or short after for enterprise customers, developers, and Windows enthusiasts to test what the company has been working on for several months.

However, we already have an idea to what the software maker will be showing off at the event, as screenshots and videos from a leaked version of Windows 9 revealed many of the new features, such as the new Start menu, Notification Center, virtual desktops, new flat design on the desktop, new Charms integration, and windowed apps. We are also expecting other features to appear in Windows as well, like Cortana, Storage Sense, Wi-Fi Sense, and more.

The Windows Technical Preview that might release during the San Francisco event on September 30th is not expected to include all the features planned for Windows 9, instead Microsoft will push new updates with changes regularly.

Keep checking regularly for more updates and I’ll be covering the Windows event on September 30th, too.
