Microsoft is rolling a big update for the Microsoft Band today only days after the company released the first firmware update to improve the Band’s performance. The new update includes new Guided Workouts that they add up to the already large selection available in the Microsoft Health app.
With the new Guided Workouts, users can select a workout through the Health app that synchronizes to the Microsoft Band, and then during the workout users will get feedbacks and cues on every exercise. The company also notes that with today’s update, users will get more than a hundred choices, plus more workouts from fitness author Mark Rippetoe.

Another major announcement is the company creating a web app for Microsoft Health, the site still under construction, and the software giant will reveal more details in a near future. According to Windows Central the new web portal for Microsoft Health will allow users to see and share their data online, as data now is only stored in the app for Windows Phone, iOS, or Android.
Although, an update is coming out today; we do not yet know if this is a software update for the Health app or a firmware update for the Band, or both. I’ll be updating this post accordingly.
