CES 2013 Las Vegas — Lenovo IdeaCenter Horizon: At first look it is a typical 27-inch All-in-One PC that you can use with keyboard and mouse, but it is also called a “table PC”. This is a new concept that Lenovo is trying to do and they call it “phygital”, which is a mix of physical and digital.

It all means that when you flat the giant tablet down on a desk, you get automatically switched into a totally different user-interface, called “Aura”, and is completely touch-based. From this experience you can play games, view photos and launch different apps — all pretty similar to Microsoft’s original Surface (table), now renamed to PixelSense –. You can not only interact via touch, but Lenovo is also introducing several physical accessories that will also interact with the PC.

Although this PC is huge and heavy (semi-portable), the company wants consumers to think that Horizon is a family multiuser device instead, as it features a gorgeous 27-inch 10-point multitouch display, meaning that more than one person can interact with the device at a time.

The touchscreen seems really interactive, but you can always tap in the corner and select to go back to the Windows 8 tiled UI with a big and bright screen or by simply stand the PC back. And Yes, this is a Windows 8-based PC and it’s also battery-powered, which last about 2 hours.
